Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Miller

I have been teaching chemistry at John Jay High School since 2012. Before that, I taught for three years in NYC as an 8th grade science/living environment teacher. I love teaching! I have taught all levels of chemistry that John Jay has to offer and currently teach honor and advanced placement.

I graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in Biochemistry and continued on to Medical School at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. Within my first year of medical school, I decided that I wanted to "help" people in a different way and eventually traded in my scrubs for chalk boards and a lab coat!

With my diverse background, I am able to provide diverse lessons for all my students' different learning needs. I can't wait to have you (or your child) in my class! Chemistry is not for everyone. Thus, please try to STAY POSITIVE like a PROTON throughout our journey of matter and energy! And REMEMBER...you MATTER, unless you multiply yourself by the speed of light...then you ENERGY!
