• The John Jay High School Jazz Ensemble exists to provide education and experience in performing and studying music in various genres, including but not limited to jazz, latin, funk, rock, and ballad. The core of the group consists of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Membership is by audition. Students will also develop their skills in the art of musical improvisation. Several performances will be presented during the year.
