     ¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!

    Vision:

Teaching is the gift of preparing students for the future. As a World Language teacher at John Jay Senior High School, I will be a leader and a mediator of learning. My goal is to help our students develop their Spanish language and Hispanic cultural proficiency through the interpersonal mode, interpretative mode, and presentational mode. In addition to the goal of helping my students to communicate effectively in Spanish, an essential aim of my teaching is to expose students to the richness and diversity of cultures in the Spanish-speaking world.

    Goal:

My overarching goal is to challenge and support our students as they seek to go on to the next stage of their journey and prepare themselves to lead fulfilling lives as engages citizens of the world. I hope to expose them to a full educational language experience, which will allow them to use that gift of communication to help others and open new opportunities in their future travels.

I am very excited to start this language and cultural experience with you. Please click on your class page for more info. Homework will be posted on the calendar section, on estudio, and on Google classroom. Please contact me whenever you need help.

    ¡Buena suerte! Good luck!
