    Welcome Message: Our school year has begun!  I began teaching for WCSD in 2006 and have been working at Sheafe Road since the 2010-2011 school year. 
    Since my first experience as a formal student at age two, with my first dance class, up until now I have been provided with the foundation to build the structure needed to pursue the career of teaching.   As a student of many areas, from academics to music to sports, these experiences have all given me the discipline and determination to pursue and reach my goals.  To say I have reached my goals without difficulty or any help would be an understatement.  This is where my interactive relationship with my instructors and teachers made the difference.  It was their ability to explain, encourage, direct and above all listen that instilled in me the confidence, persistence, and enthusiasm to succeed.  Not once did my teachers give up on me.  This is how I view my role now as teacher.  I want to instill that same confidence, persistence and enthusiasm to succeed in my students.  I want them to say "I can!" rather than "I can't!"  And teach them that giving up is never an option. 
    My role, teaching strategies, and classroom management center on what is best for student learning and achievement.  I plan to create a fun, positive environment for students to grow as readers, writers, and above all, people.  I want to emphasize to my students that learning is fun!  After all, you have to have fun to truly enjoy what you do!  I am honored to be working with your children and very proud to be a SHEAFE ROAD BLUEBIRD!
