5th Grade lessons will begin on Thursday, September 21st (Day 6).

6th Grade lessons will begin on Monday, September 18th (Day 3). 6th graders will need their instruments every Day 3 and 6! 

Materials and Supplies

 All band students need the book, “Breeze Easy”, Book 1.

All students must come to lessons with the following supplies:

Pencil

Folder

Practice sheet:  completed and initialed by a parent

 Each instrument has its own needs.  They are listed below:

FLUTE:                 handkerchief

OBOE:                   extra reeds (I like the Jones brand Medium)

CLARINET:          reeds (strength 2 ½) and a reedguard

SAXOPHONE:      reeds (strength 2 ½) and a reedguard

TRUMPET:           valve oil, slide grease, small cloth

FRENCH HORN:  valve oil, slide grease, small cloth

TROMBONE:       SLIDE oil, slide grease, small cloth

EUPHONIUM:      valve oil, slide grease, small cloth

PERCUSSION:     sticks, bell mallets

As the first part of the curriculum is instrument assembly, care and maintenance, it is important for you to get these supplies immediately!
