I started teaching at Gayhead in 1997 as Miss McElroy. It's hard to believe
that I am now teaching the children of my former students! Time sure does fly!High School: Roy C. Ketcham
Bachelors Degree: Ithaca College School of Music
Masters Degree: Ithaca College School of Music
I have always loved music. Ever since I was a little girl, I was singing! My Mom insists
that I cried for the first three months of my life to develop my vocal chords!
My Grandpa made me a wooden microphone when I was three years old and we
would sing together for hours! I still have that microphone and I use it in my classroom.
In college I was in many musicals and operas. Yes, Mrs. Banda is an opera singer(and I don't have horns or braided hair)!! Maybe you'll see me in a show someday!
I have been in several productions at County Players and other local theater groups.
I have performed at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall with Turn Up The Peace,
and have toured Ireland with the Ithaca College Choir.
In my free time I like to read, sing, bake, and listen to music. Most of all, I love spending time with my family...
