Welcome to Second Grade in Room 13! My name is Mrs. Bastien. This will be my first year at Gayhead, and I'm so excited to be a part of this community! I've previously been a permanent substitute at Oak Grove, as well as a leave replacement at Glenham Elementary in Beacon. My husband is an Earth Science teacher at John Jay HS. We have a 3 year old dog named Indy - he is a Poodle and Australian Shepard mix! When I'm not teaching, I love spending time outdoors, reading, or tending to my houseplants.
I will be using Class Dojo as my primary source of communication throughout the year.
