My name is Kerry Ruppert.  I have been at Gayhead for 27 years teaching Special Education in the ICT Classrooms.  I am certified in Elementary and Special Education.  Teaching has been the most rewarding career and a job that I love.  I have taught ICT 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th.  I have taken on the challenge of each grade level.  I have loved each one as they really are so different from each other.  My goal is to create a caring, warm, and nurturing environment.

In the classroom, my role is to be the Special Education Teacher.  I work with students who may require support throughout the day.  I will travel with these students to their core subjects to provide support.  I collaborate with all the teachers on planning, teaching, helping all the students to find success. My goal makes all the students feel welcome and open to receiving help and support throughout the day.

My husband Pat and I have 3 children.  Christina (23) is finishing college to become a sonogram tech, Joseph (19) is a second-year student at Brockport College studying to be a PE Teacher, and Mikey (14) is in 8th grade at Union Vale Middle School.  My family loves baseball, hiking, going to the beach, and gardening. We are NY Yankee Fans and divided between the Patriots and Giants for football.

I have loved my career since the first day I started and still love it today.  There is no greater joy in seeing a student thrive, grow, and learn.  I look forward to a wonderful year.  Each year I welcome each student and treat them like my own family, so "Welcome to My Family".

Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to say "HI". Remember, I am here for you and your children.  Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or notes.  My goal is to make school a fun, safe place to get a great education.
