Gayhead Elementary School

Students are graded on many different musical skills each quarter. Please see each grade level for information on what your children are learning in general music.

For each one of these musical outcomes, students are graded on a scale from 1-4:

(Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 can earn a + next to their number grade which would mean the child is on the high end of the grade range)

1: Does not meet the standards (0-69%)

2: Developing skills to meet the standards (70-79%)

3: Meets the standards (80-89%)

4: Meets the standards with distinction (90-100%)

I may not assess each outcome every quarter. If your child receives the letter “N” (not applicable) in place of a number it means that outcome was not assessed.
