Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all doing well, and that you are enjoying your summer!  I am so excited to be your English teacher in the fall, and can't wait to meet and teach you about all the great topics we'll be learning in 8th grade English this year!

Summer is a wonderful time to enjoy reading!  This summer, as you transition from 7^th to 8^th grade, your 7th grade teacher last year should have provided you with a list of suggested books for you to read over the summer.  If you need access to this list, please click on the following link to access the List of Suggested Titles: 7th into 8th Grade Summer Reading 2023-2024

Please look over the titles, authors, pictures, and summaries to select a few that interest you. This list reflects the wide range of interests, maturity, and reading levels that comprise middle school students.  As always, parents are encouraged to be a part of their child's summer reading selections!

This PDF outlines the requirements for 8th grade Summer Reading for next year, and provides you with additional resources you may find useful!  Pick a few books that pique your interest and dive into them over the next few weeks of summer so you're prepared for 8th grade in September!  There are a TON of great titles there, some of which I'll be reading over the summer, too!
