• Welcome to my webpage!  This is my 31st year teaching Italian. I have taught Italian at the secondary level, university, and adults outside of college.  My favorite level is middle school.

I grew up speaking Italian in the home as my parents were born and raised in Italy before coming to this country in the early 50's, settling in Mount Vernon, NY.  I lived in Italy for a couple of years as an elementary school child. I spent most of my summers in Italy and continue to do so.

I discovered my love for foreign languages as a young child.  I started teaching myself Spanish when I was about 11 years old.  I studied Italian and Spanish in Middle School and High School. I continued to study both in college.  I also studied French in college.

I graduated from SUNY New Paltz as a Spanish/Italian major.  I earned a Masters Degree from SUNY New Paltz in English as a new language. I earned teaching certificates in Elementary Education N-6, Spanish and Italian 7-12, and English as a New Language.

I love what I do.  Please reach out if you need anything.  I look forward to teaching and learning with my students at WJHS!
