Current Illness
Many parents will ask me; "What is going around these days?" Well, with more than 300 children and staff in a school building, there are usually a few different things going around. It would be very helpful to me if when you call in to say that your child is sick or when you send in the absence note with your child upon their return, that you relay any pertinent symptoms and doctor diagnoses of which you are aware. I will not share personal information or names of the sick students, but it would help me to have a handle on what illnesses are in our school and also would help to minimize the spread of illnesses whenever possible.Of particular interest are fevers, flu like symptoms, strep, rashes, lice, and really anything else you think we should know about. Please note that I will add advisories I receive from the Dutchess County Dept. of Health (see top of page) as they pertain to our students. Thanks for your help!Maureen GraySchool Nurse, RN, MSNKinry Road Elementary School58 Kinry RoadPoughkeepsie, NY 12603845-463-7322 Ext. 15005
