YOUTH WRESTLING Wappingers Warriors
PE teacher and coach Chris Perry is running a Youth Wrestling Clinic at John Jay HS this winter season 2023-24.DAYS
Tuesdays & Thursdays
Grades 1-2: 5:30-6:15 pm
Grades 3-6: 6:30-7:30 pmSESSION 1: Begins Tuesday, November 7, and runs through Thursday, December 21

Learn the basics of wrestling in a safe and fun environment. Wrestling is a sport that will help develop agility, coordination, flexibility, strength, balance, self-esteem, self-discipline, and a strong work-ethic. The Warriors Wrestling Club is run by veteran wrestling coach Chris Perry, who is a former assistant coach at John Jay (2010-2015) and head coach at Ketcham (2017-2023). Please note: this program is not affiliated with a WCSD booster club and fees collected will go directly to the individual running the program (minus the fees collected by the WCSD Continuing Ed Dept.)
No equipment is necessary to start, just wear a t-shirt and shorts. Wrestling shoes are suggested but not mandatory. You may purchase wrestling shoes from www.sport.com, wrestlingmart.com, or Dicks Sporting Goods. Wrestlers may practice barefoot if they do not have wrestling shoes.The clinic will be Tuesdays & Thursdays and is open to boys and girls in grades 1-6. Two sessions to choose from!
COST
$135 per session
Sibling Discount Available: $40 off for each additional sibling ($95 per session for 2nd and 3rd siblings) -
SKI NY for Free
Any 3rd or 4th grade student can " ski or snowboard for free" or "learn to ski or snowboard" at participating NY ski areas.
