We are thrilled to be continuing with our weekly Patriot Café here as part of our curriculum! Through this project we address the students’ IEP life skills goals through all the hands-on aspects of running an in-school café for the faculty and staff of John Jay. We incorporate skills such as recipe reading, making a grocery list, budgeting, measuring, cooking, baking, cleaning, preparing food, counting money, giving correct change and all other skills needed to make this experience a success. We are sponsored by the John Jay PTSA.
