Welcome!
Hi! My name is Mrs. Speidell! I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was in First Grade! I always enjoyed helping other kids in my classes as well as endless afternoons of teaching my stuffed animals at home! I made my teaching dream a reality in 2006 when I graduated from Marist College with a degree in Psychology and Special Education. I am NYS certified to teach both General Education as well as Special Education. I obtained my Master's Degree in Literacy from Suny New Paltz a few years later. This is my seventeenth year teaching here at Gayhead. I live in Lagrangeville with my husband, James and my two sons, James and Carson. James is 12 years old and he is going to be in seventh grade this year. Carson is 8 years old and he will be in third grade this year. We have two dogs, a French Bulldog named Diesel and a rescued mixed breed named Pepper. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family. I look forward to a great year together!
