    The World Language Department of the Wappingers Central School District offers students the opportunity to begin the study of language in 7th grade.  During high school, students continue their study of a foreign language, selecting from French, Italian, or Spanish.
     
    The goal of our program is to develop well-rounded language abilities which include speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the target language -- all of which will prepare students for the multicultural/multilingual society in which we live.  We offer level one through Advanced Placement.  Students have the opportunity to participate in clubs, honor societies, and festivals.
