I've been teaching at W.J.H.S. since September of 1996. I have also coached the
boys soccer team for my first 7 years as well as softball (both JV and modified level)
throughout the years. I coached Varsity Softball at RCK for the 2010, 2011 & 2012 season.
Each season was a success, either reaching sectional finals or semi-finals for the first time
in many years. At this time, I am no longer coaching, however, I have two teenage boys, Logan
and Landon. Both keep us busy with football, lacrosse, travel lacrosse and wrestling
throughout the year. I am a Breast Cancer SURVIVOR, diagnosed in October of 2013 and
I am happy to say that I am cancer free and healthy!!
WCSD curriculum for Physical Education at the middle school level is team-sport
oriented. Some examples of our team-sport units include, but are not limited to
football, soccer, volleyball, basketball. Instruction will focus on refining motor skills,
game strategy and cooperation among peers. Students who change clothing for class,
participate in activities, and demonstrate good sportsmanship and appropriate behavior,
will excel in Physical Education.
My goal is to provide the appropriate environment for each student to have as much
success as possible. Even though not all students excel athletically, there are always
additional opportunities to demonstrate their highest potential as a student in my class.
