• Earth Science Honors

     Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!!

    About the Class:

    Earth Science Honors is an accelerated class where students can earn high school science credit as an 8th grader. The class finishes with a cumulative exam, the Earth Science Regents Exam, where students must pass in order to earn class credit. Additionally, the class includes a lab requirement where students have to complete 1200 minutes of laboratory material, signed off by their teacher, in order to sit for the Regents Exam in June.

    Grading Policy:

                                       Tests/Quizzes = 70%

                                       Classwork=        30%

    *The grading policy is test/quiz heavy due to the nature of the course and the reality of the Regents Exam. With your quarterly averages, you will have a good understanding of where you stand in preparation of the Regents exam in June.

    Extra Help:

    If you need any assistance with schoolwork or any concepts we are learning, be sure to get in contact with me and let me know. I fully understand how asking a question over remote learning (or even in a classroom in general) can be something we do not wish to do, but trust me, others have the same question! We are all in this unique experience together, let's make sure we get the most out of it. It is my job to help you and I will always do my best, it starts with asking for help!
