About Mr.D~
This will be my 27th year as a teacher (2024-2025). I received my degree in Elementary Education (Pre K-6), as well as a Masters degree in Special Education from SUNY New Paltz. All of my teaching experience has been with the primary level. I taught second grade for 2 years at St. Martin de Porres in Poughkeepsie, and first grade for 2 years at Wingdale Elementary in Dover. Then I came to Brinckerhoff Elementary where I continued to teach for the past 23 years. I was in first grade for many years...and this will be my 8th year in Kindergarten. I enjoy listening to music, drawing and painting, sports (BIG Dallas Cowboys and New York Rangers fan) and spending time with my wife Nicole (Mrs. D), and my 2 boys. Nicholas is 21 and currently attending college and Joshua is 16 and in his junior year in High School. We have 2 lovable Cocker Spaniels
(Marley is 14 years old and Allie is 10 years old), as well as a Brindle Boxer and Lab Mix named Stella (who is 6 years old).
~Teaching is a rewarding profession, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year together and learning many new things in Kindergarten!
