The purpose of Speech Language Services is to
improve a child’s ability to effectively communicate in the academic setting.
Instruction can focus on improvement in articulation and/or language skills.
Children with communication delays are identified through referrals,
screenings, and evaluations. Direct intervention services are provided to
children individually or in small groups, depending on their needs.
Consultation also occurs with parents and teachers to develop appropriate
activities, techniques and strategies to improve/reinforce communication
skills.
