      Attendance Action Plan

       The vision of Orchard View Alternative High School is to create a supportive, academic environment where students value hard work, and individual goals are achieved.  Orchard View students learn to make positive choices that enable them to take an active role in their education and future career.

      Of course one of the positive choices we expect them to make is their choice to come to school each and every day.  Student attendance is taken extremely seriously at Orchard View Alternative High School.  We recognize the direct correlation between daily attendance and its significant impact on student learning.  We support a diverse group of learners who all have a unique story to tell.   Every student has chosen to come to OV for the same reason: to have a chance to become a successful high school graduate.

      It's that time of year!!!!  Study hard and end the year with success!  Below is the Orchard View Regents Schedule:

      JUNE 2023 REGENTS SCHEDULE

      ONLY STUDENTS WHO ARE SCHEDULED TO TAKE EXAMS SHOULD REPORT TO SCHOOL.

      School will be closed on Monday, 6/19.

      TRANSPORTATION: Please take your regularly scheduled AM bus for any exams (both morning and afternoon exams, as there is only one bus pick up in the AM).

      ELECTRONICS: Students should not bring any electronic devices into the exam room. Any student found to be in possession of an electronic device in an exam room will receive no score on their exam.

       I am excited to join the Orchard View community as your Principal! Orchard View will be focusing on positive behavioral supports and interventions in order to increase attendance and reward achievement.  Students at Orchard View will meet rigorous academic standards in classes that use student-centered methods of instruction.  The social and emotional support available at Orchard View will give all students the tools needed to reach their maximum academic potential.  I look forward to working with the entire Orchard View community throughout the school year in order to provide all students with the greatest opportunity for success.
