    Oak Grove looks to acknowledge students who are displaying a particular character trait for the month.  April is "Perservance."  We would like to congratulate Ayla and Asher from our room, who displayed the character trait of "Perservance."  Way to go!!!  Keep up the great work!

     

    This is what we will be working on this week:

     

    Fundations 1st- Students will identify, tap and write words with a long vowel.

    Fundations 2nd- Students will identify, tap and write words with the suffix ending -er and -est (-er- comparing two things and - est- comparing more than two things).

    Reader's Workshop- Students will continue to make predictions on what characters do and where they will go. They will also describe characters.

    Writer's Workshop-  Students will continue to write realistic fiction. 

    Math 1st-  Students will identify and tell the time to the hour and half an hour. 

    Math 2nd-  Students will continue to add and subtract three-digits by three-digits with regrouping. 

    Social Studies- Students will review the difference between a need and a want.  Students will identify the meaning of scarcity.   

    Science- Students will continue to identify what a plant needs in order to grow into a healthy plant.
