Hello Fourth Grade Parents & Families!

My name is Alison Tompkins, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher! I am looking forward to getting to know the children and working with you all to ensure they receive the best education possible.

To tell you a little bit about myself, I have lived in Wappingers Falls my entire life and graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School in 2014. Most of my time growing up was spent at soccer fields or following my brother’s baseball team across the state. After graduating from Ketcham, I received my Associate’s Degree from Dutchess Community College and eventually received my Bachelor’s Degree from Marist College in 2018. After graduating from Marist, I worked at Fishkill Plains Elementary often, completing long term positions for 6th grade Special Education and a K-2 Reading Teacher, as well as substituting in various classrooms throughout the building. In May 2023, I received my Master’s Degree in literacy through the online program at SUNY Oneonta. I have now taught 6th grade at Brinckerhoff for two years, and I am looking forward to my second year teaching 4th grade!

Most importantly, I want you to know that I am dedicated and determined to provide your child with a high quality and meaningful education. Like the rest of the fourth grade team, I hope to make learning fun while also pushing them to their fullest potential.

I hope everyone had a great summer, I’m looking forward to working with you and your child!
