Art Class Expectations
Art is a unique time during the school day in which students get the opportunity to be expressive and innovative. In order for this to happen in a shared classroom space, safety and respect are of the utmost importance at Fishkill Elementary. Using the P.B.I.S. model, students across the school and in the art room are encouraged to and positively reinforced for following school expectations.
Positive Behavior Intervention System, (P.B.I.S.) teaches students to BE RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE AND SAFE during the school day.
Students are expected to clean up after themselves, be safe with materials and show respect to the teacher and fellow students.
Students who struggle to follow directions and safety precautions during art will be spoken to by the teacher and appropriate consequences will be enforced.
