    WELCOME TO

     Science 7

Hello to all of my students (and parents),

I am looking forward to meeting all of you this school year!

Please go through your schedule and make sure that you have your Google Classroom classes all set up - I will soon post each class code below for anyone who is on my class roster but does not see the class already in your Google Classrom as of Tuesday.

I hope you had a good summer and are doing well despite all of the changes that you have had to make since March.  I know it hasn't been easy!  As for myself, I am doing well, as is my family.

As we ease into the start of a new school year on Thursday, please remember to join your teachers’ GoogleMeetings every period.   We will all be heading down this new path together so don't be nervous!  We will all let you know how things will go every step of the way.

All of my assignents and Google Meet codes for class will be posted on Google Classroom daily.    Most assignments will be due the same day, but now and then some will have due dates farther out.

In addition, to start us out and say hello, and to continue with our Yellow team spirit and our school spirit, I will be hosting a Google Meet on Friday afternoon for all of my students together and will bring in a few special guests as well.  The meeting link will be in Google Classroom every Friday.

Parents and students -please sign up for the Remind text, although each teacher will post their own assignments on Google Classroom, I will text out any important team events or reminders for team 7-Yellow via Remind.

As we move forward, students should please feel free to email me with any questions at any time, and specifically between the hours of 1:15 - 2:25 PM on school days.

Friday 9/11 -First Google Meet for Mrs. Hardt’s COMBINED Science classes:  1:45

(we may have a guest or two join us!!)

Best regards for a fun and exciting new school year,

    Mrs. Hardt

Supplies for my class- when we move to the hybrid model you will simply need:

-a sturdy 2-pocket folder for science class

-always make sure to have a pen or pencil of your own with you (We cannot lend pens and pencils since it is unsanitary)

    - a small notebook of choice to use as a planner to write down any asignments in al classes

Once we return to the building using the hybrid model, please bring in:

    • 2 boxes of tissues

    • other supplies if you can: cleaning wipes, index cards(white or color), ziploc bags (quart or gallon)

    • students should have basic supplies for use at home including a few colored pencils, ruler, stapler, scissors

    • If any student needs to have supplies provided, please let me know.  Team Yellow can help.

    • If any parent would like to provide extra supplies for the classroom or for students in need, I will gladly collect.  Thank you in advance!

Parents- please check planner and homework in folder and on Gpoogle Classroom on a regular basis (once a week for example or more depending on your student.  You know your child's work habits best.) A planner that is not being written or a messy work folder is sometimes the first sign that a student needs help staying on track.
